POSITION SUMMARY

Reports To :

Med / Surg Unit Manager

Summary :

Care for ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled persons in hospitals and clinics. May work under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Licensing required.

Work Schedule :

Must be able to work non-standard hours, including weekends, holidays, sometimes in excess of 40 hours per week. Must be flexible to work on various nursing units.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing.

Experience

One to two years related experience

Computer Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office, email and basic computer skills for other software used throughout the hospital for your area of responsibility.

Certificates & Licenses

Current nursing license with the State of Indiana required. Certification in BLS required.

Other Requirements

Math skills to calculate dosages.

This position requires frequent standing, walking, use of hands and fingers, lifting and carrying 0-100 lbs and pushing and pulling 0-100 lbs.
