Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor with advanced Med / Surg Tele skills and a current MA RN license for a rotating leadership role.

Responsibilities

  • Hospital-based role in a nursing administration supervisory unit
  • Combination of 3x8 hour and 1x12 hour shifts including days, evenings, nights, and every other weekend
  • Requires ability to read telemetry strips and perform cardiac drips
  • Works with high-acuity patients across all services and patient care areas
  • EPIC EMR is used in this setting
  • Provides administrative, operational, and clinical supervision for all services in the facility, including off-shifts and weekends
  • Acts as clinical resource, responds to issues and incidents, and collaborates with support and clinical teams to ensure optimal patient care
  • Responsible for notification of Administrator-On-Call during serious events or disasters
  • Performs rounds and oversees reporting with emphasis on high-acuity patients
  • Serves as the patient care representative, addresses complaints, and ensures timely interventions
  • Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for travel rate eligibility; local rate is reduced by 5%
  • Parking may not be validated and public transportation or paid parking options are available

    • Requirements

  • Active MA RN license in good standing (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 3 years of advanced Med / Surg Tele nursing experience required
  • Preferred critical care nursing experience
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience with EPIC charting system required
  • Flu vaccination required with no medical or religious exemptions allowed
