Optum NY (formerly Optum Tri-State NY) is seeking a passionate and experienced Gastroenterology Endoscopy Nurse Manager to enhance our patient care team. As a leader at Optum, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of healthcare, focusing on innovative practices that benefit both patients and staff.

As a Gastroenterology Endoscopy Nurse Manager, you will oversee the daily clinical operations at our various locations, including Syosset, Lake Success, Massapequa, and Hewlett. Your leadership will drive our mission to improve patient experiences and clinical outcomes, contributing to a healthier community.

Key Responsibilities Include :

• Creating a collaborative and effective work environment that prioritizes teamwork, patient satisfaction, and staff well-being.
• Working with nursing education to develop and coordinate staff competency plans.
• Supervising and providing guidance for Registered Nurses and other clinical staff in the endoscopy units.
• Analyzing quality data to identify opportunities for enhancing service delivery and patient outcomes.
• Managing RN schedules and staffing needs for optimal patient care.
• Facilitating the orientation and continuous education of personnel.
• Acting as a key resource for staff on regulatory and policy matters.
• Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and accrediting body standards, including leading ongoing accreditation efforts.
• Participating in Performance Improvement Committees to elevate nursing care quality.
• Conducting annual evaluations and implementing recruitment and retention strategies for endoscopy staff.
• Performing additional duties as assigned by leadership.
