Job Description

The 12v Electrician is responsible for routing wires for fire apparatus equipment by following wire diagrams and other technical drawings. This role involves connecting lights, hose reels, and other accessories to the electrical box, and fabricating boxes, mounts, and other necessary equipment according to the blueprint. Communication with fabricators is essential for complete installation and the fabrication of wire harnesses as needed. The 12v Electrician will utilize basic hand tools to achieve objectives and perform additional duties as required by management to meet company needs.

Responsibilities

• Route wires for fire apparatus equipment using wire diagrams and technical drawings.
• Connect lights, hose reels, and other accessories to the electrical box.
• Fabricate boxes, mounts, and other necessary equipment following blueprints.
• Communicate with fabricators for complete installation.
• Fabricate wire harnesses as needed.
• Utilize basic hand tools to accomplish tasks.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required by management.

Work Environment

Work takes place in a temperature-controlled environment, with spacious work areas and a team setting. The position operates on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, with hours from 5 : 00 am to 3 : 30 pm or 6 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pm, depending on the supervisor. Mandatory overtime is expected on Fridays, with an average workweek of 45-50 hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wyoming, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $29.00 / hr.
