Responsibilities
Architect and code data structure from ingestion to visualization using Snowflake, dbt, and TableauImplement best practices for the data platform that provides maintainability, reliability, and efficiencyProvide expertise in data warehouse modeling and development for Snowflake using dbtExercise best practices in optimal Data modeling for nonuniform sets of dataProvide best practices for source code control with GithubDesign and Maintain data security access controlsDevelop SQL, HTML, and / or Javascript code to optimize the stack or to generate views for visualizationWork with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver to respective stakeholdersProvide guidance and mentorship to junior data developersQualifications
BS in Computer Science. The emphasis in Data Engineering is a plus10-12 years Data Engineering Development and visualization experience8-10 years of Data Warehouse experience is required. Snowflake DWH is preferred8-10 years of SQL experience, Snowflake SQL is preferred4-6 years of dbt Cloud experiences, semantic layer experience is a plus3-5 years of experience with Github.3-5 years of experience with CI / CD tools for the modern data stack3-5 years of building Tableau Data Sources and dashboarding2+ years of Python developmentHTML and Javascript experiences as it relates to Looker are preferredExperience with the following Enterprise systems : Salesforce, Oracle, Workday, Jira, Adaptive, AnaplanFluent written and verbal communication skillsSeniority level
