We are seeking a talented Technical Writer to develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards. You will gain a deep understanding of products and translate complex information into comprehensive, accurate, and standards-compliant content. Your ability to write user-friendly content that meets the needs of our target audience will be key to user success.

Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards.

Translate complex information into comprehensive, accurate, and standards-compliant content.

Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience.

Examine hardware configuration items by visual and physical inspection.

Interpret specifications / manuals, mechanical drawings, bills of materials, wire-lists, and electrical schematics to create documentation.

Collaborate with subject-matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation.

Essential Skills

Technical writing skills

Proficiency in writing and communication

Ability to examine hardware configuration items

Interpretation of specifications / manuals and schematics

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Additional Skills & Qualifications

One or more years of experience as a technical writer

Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter

Experience working with engineers to refine content and create visuals

Capability to handle multiple technical writing assignments simultaneously

Knowledge of version control, modeling and simulation

Practical use of Artificial Intelligence

Work Environment

You will work in a relaxed office environment with direct access to the production floor. The role involves sitting at a desk and examining hardware configuration items by visual and physical inspection. You will be part of a collaborative culture committed to process and work product quality, working within a small (approximately 30-person) team. The workplace supports business casual dress.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of lutz, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00 / hr.
