Job description

Avera Transplant Institute is home to a multidisciplinary team of experts dedicated to serving patients in need of an organ transplant. In the Dakotas and surrounding region, Avera is home to the first kidney transplant program and the only pancreas transplant program.

The Opportunity :

  • Join a practice with three experienced Transplant Surgeons, supported by a team of 5 Advanced Practice Providers and integrated with established nephrology & hepatology practices.
  • Avera Transplant Institute serves a 5-state region, with outreach locations supplemented by an extensive telemedicine network.
  • Highly compensated, employed position, with large sign-on bonus

Position Qualifications :

  • Completion of General Surgery Residency Program
  • Board Certified (B / C) in General Surgery
  • Completion of Transplant Surgery Fellowship
  • Certified as a Transplant Surgeon by the American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS)
  • Licensed or Eligible to Obtain South Dakota Medical License.
