About The Position

Job Title : Medical Laboratory Technician / Medical Technologist

Profession : Medical Laboratory

Shift : Variable - 8 hour shifts, days, evenings, or nights

Hours per Shift : 32

Experience : Minimum of 2 years

License : Bachelors degree in Medical Technology or a related field required.

Certifications : Board eligible by NCA or ASCP; certification required within one year of employment.

Must-Have :

One to three years of related or progressively more responsible experience in chemistry, blood bank, hematology, and microbiology or formal student internship.

Certification as MT by American Society of Clinical Pathologists or CLS by National Accrediting Agency within one year of employment.

Clinical laboratory instrumentation experience.

Must be capable of working independently and providing direction to medical laboratory assistants.

Description :

Under the direction of the laboratory manager, responsible for performing laboratory tests and quality control procedures.

Communicates with physicians, nurses, and patients.

Candidate must have a strong foundation in clinical laboratory practices.

Laboratory generalist experience is required.

This position demands a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills.

The candidate will be required to handle testing and analyze results accurately.

Collaboration with healthcare professional team members is essential for patient care.

The role involves following safety protocols and maintaining a clean work environment.

Candidates must meet immunization requirements and provide necessary documentation prior to employment.

All travelers must show proof of completed COVID vaccinations.
