Responsibilities Work in a Med / Surg Tele-Oncology unit within a hospital setting Night shift schedule with options for 36 or 48 hours per week (3x12 hour shifts), 19 : 00-7 : 30 Every other weekend and holiday coverage required as scheduled Patient ratio is 1 : 5-6 Floating required within the specialty and to lower acuity units as needed No on-call responsibilities Care for patients in a Med / Surg Tele-Oncology setting, including telemetry monitoring and oncology-related protocols First-time travelers are accepted for this position Travelers are the first to float and must be comfortable floating within their experience scope Holiday work is required as assigned and weekends are scheduled every other week Scrub color or dress code details are not specified Return travelers must be away from the health system for at least 6 months; former staff must be gone for 12 months before returning as a traveler Request for time off (RTO) must be submitted with application and cannot be changed after offer Block schedules or specific scheduling requests cannot be accommodated Requirements Active MD or Compact RN license required at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of Med / Surg Tele or Oncology nursing experience required Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required ACLS and Chemo (ONS / ONCC) certifications preferred Must provide two satisfactory professional references from most recent employers, including one supervisor / manager and one charge RN Permanent residence must be more than 50 miles from the hospital Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-620014.
