Full-Charge Bookkeeper / Staff Accountant

We are a well-established CPA firm located in Wellington seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Full-Charge Bookkeeper / Staff Accountant to join our team. Responsibilities :
- Perform bank reconciliations and prepare journal entries
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and ensure proper posting of debits and credits
- Utilize QuickBooks for client bookkeeping
- Prepare and file payroll tax forms (Forms 940 , 941 , and RT-6 )
- Assist with client financial statements and other accounting reports
- Support tax preparers during tax season (prior tax return experience is a plus)
Qualifications :
Proficiency in QuickBooks and basic accounting principlesWorking knowledge of debits / credits , journal entries , and bank reconciliationsExperience with payroll taxes preferredStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPrior tax preparation experience a plus, but not requiredWillingness to learn — we are happy to train the right candidateWhy Join Us :
