Industrial Electrician : Monticello, WI

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join their fast-paced food manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for overseeing and performing advanced electrical work, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades of plant-wide electrical systems. The ideal candidate ensures compliance with safety standards, food-grade sanitary requirements, and production needs while providing technical leadership on projects and daily operations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Plan, install, and maintain 3-phase power distribution, motor control centers, and plant-wide electrical systems
  • Lead troubleshooting, upgrades, and installations on high-speed production and packaging equipment
  • Ensure all work adheres to NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and local codes, including food plant-specific sanitary requirements
  • Perform load calculations, short circuit analysis, and ensure proper circuit protection
  • Specify, program, and troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, and automation components in collaboration with controls / automation teams
  • Provide technical leadership on capital projects, equipment installations, and plant expansions
  • Coordinate with QA, Sanitation, and Production teams to minimize impact on food safety and production schedules
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for electrical failures and implement long-term corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate documentation including electrical drawings, schematics, PM records, and panel schedules

Skills & Experience :

  • Education : Valid Master Electrician License, required
  • Experience : 7+ years of industrial electrical experience, with at least 3 years in a food manufacturing or sanitary production environment, required
  • Knowledge : Electrical theory, NEC, NFPA 70E, & industrial safety standards, required , PLC programming, VFD tuning, & industrial networking, strongly preferred
  • Familiarity : GMPs, HACCP, sanitary / hygienic conduit installations, & food-grade automation equipment, strongly preferred

    • Pay : $38.00 - $45.00 / hour + BONUS : up to $2.00 / hour, paid weekly

    Type : Full-time, 1st Shift, On-site

    Schedule : Monday – Friday 7 : 00 a.m. – 3 : 00 p.m., OT as needed
