Responsibilities
- Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
- Coding invoices, vouchers, expense reports, check requests, etc., with correct codes conforming to standard procedures to ensure proper entry into the financial system.
- Handle vendor correspondence via phone or email
- Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices
- Files, maintains, and distributes accounting documents, records and reports.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
- Processing due invoices for payments
- Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
- Purchase Order Requisition
- Assign New Job Numbers per Company Workflow Process and Procedure
- Work with Controller on Assigned Tasks
- Support Accounting Department as Necessary
- Other Duties as Necessary and Assigned
- 2 years experience in accounts payable.
- Experience in industrial construction is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive problem-solving attitude with the ability to work independently.
