Job Summary :

Mission Children’s is seeking a pediatric / newborn hospitalist to join our engaged and passionate group of providers.

Qualified Candidates :

  • Board certified / board eligible in pediatrics
  • This is a hybrid position working in both a Pediatric Hospitalist and Newborn Hospitalist capacity

    • About Mission Children’s :

    Mission Children’s is the region’s only children’s hospital covering western North Carolina with 60 pediatric subspecialists in 23 different disciplines

  • 51-bed, Level-III NICU staffed by our Neonatology team
  • 34 bed Mother Baby Unit
  • 19 bed Pediatric Unit
  • 9 Bed PICU staffed by our Pediatric Intensivist team
  • Opportunity to work with MAHEC Family Medicine Residents and UNC Medical Students
  • Strong MFM program and new MFM Fellowship; good relationships with OBs and MAHEC OB / GYN Residency
  • An average of 3,000 patient admissions to our pediatric inpatient units
  • Approximately 4000 deliveries per year
  • Approximately 4,500 pediatric surgeries, and 14,000 pediatric visits to our emergency department per year
  • Dedicated infant transport team serving a 55-county area
