DART is currently hiring for full-time Paratransit Drivers. Our Paratransit service provides opportunities of independence for senior citizens and persons with disabilities living in Polk county, who are functionally unable to use the regular DART bus service. Trips may include a medical appointment, an errand to the grocery store, and a once-a-month miscellaneous trip.

Schedule: DART's Service runs from 4:00 am to 12:30 am. After training, you would be provided your schedule, typically, one week in advance. This position requires a flexible schedule to work weekdays/weekends and nights if need be.

Pay: Training pay is $13.84, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus. After graduation, pay starts at $15.38 with wage increases every 3 months. 1-year pay is $17.43 with wage increases every July.

Job Qualifications:

• 21 years of age or older
• Must possess a High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Be able to earn a valid Iowa Commercial Driver's License w/Air Brake and Passenger endorsements. DART will provide paid training for you to obtain your CDL!
• Physical exam, drug screen and background check required.
