The ABA Behavior Technician will provide clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to children with Autism.
The ABA Behavior Technician will collect data and complete session notes. The ABA Behavior Technician will be responsible for supporting the duties of the Lead ABA Behavior Technician in the temporary absence of these team members as required. The ABA Behavior Technician is required to complete 40 hours of online Registered ABA Behavior Technician training prior to the ABA Behavior Technician's start date. If the ABA Behavior Technician is certified, a copy of the training certificate must be provided to Laugh & Learn prior to their start date.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :
Provide direct client care in 1 : 1 and group settings utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangementsFollow the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocolsCollect, record, and summarize data on observable client behaviorEffectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by the BCBAUtilize safe & appropriate handling procedures when working with clientsMaintain client confidentialityAssist in preparing client materials as instructedMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environmentAssist with Lead ABA Behavior Technician responsibilities in their absence as requiredMaintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending trainings as requiredKNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES :

Required : NonePreferred : Experience working with children ages 2-21, preferably with children with disabilities, and experience in implementing the principles of Applied Behavior AnalysisEDUCATION :
Required : High School Diploma or GED (over 18 years of age and capable of passing a background check)RELATED TRAINING :
Responsible for completing and maintaining all required certifications and trainings once employed; including, but not limited to : CPR, CPI, RBT trainings and other company in-services and trainings as directed.
