Responsibilities

• Create and / or process work requests in work management software
• Estimate electrical loads for customers and determine actual or proposed field measurements
• Model proposed designs in the appropriate software to meet customer needs and ensure all results follow respective regulatory requirements
• Produce construction prints for field construction of proposed designs
• Attend weekly work scheduling meetings
• Assist TEC Distribution Design staff as needed

Qualifications

Education / Certification / GPA : The successful applicant should be in their second, third or fourth year of an ABET-accredited university or college undergraduate or graduate-level program in an engineering discipline. A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required. To qualify as a co-op student, enrollment in the university's co-op program is a must.

Additional Requirements

The successful applicant will be required to take and pass a Baseline Medical Examination as part of pre-employment screening once an offer is accepted. A pre-employment drug screening, and a background check (including education, employment, criminal and motor vehicle) will also be conducted.

Storm Duty —Responding to storms is a condition of employment. TECO Energy and its companies serve a critical role in providing services during emergencies. Team members may be required to participate in response / recovery activities to maintain service. Proper compensation will be provided according to company rules and procedures.
