The County of Del Norte Probation Department is seeking a qualified candidate to fill one (1) vacancy for the position of Senior Account Clerk. This position is classified as full-time.
This position is an experienced account clerk with the skill to perform and supervise a wide variety of accounts and administrative functions without direct supervision except as new or unusual circumstances require. This work consists of complex and responsible clerical, technical and paraprofessional duties at a lead person level within a classification series. To perform complex and technical accounting system work in the preparation, maintenance and review of County, departmental, divisional, and / or unit financial records; and to supervise other support staff in a lead person capacity.

Minimum Qualifications
Education : Graduation from high school with college coursework in bookkeeping, accounting, business administration or closely related field. A Bachelor's degree is preferred and may be substituted for equivalent experience.

Experience : Four (4) years experience in financial record keeping that includes two (2) years experience in a public sector agency; county government is preferred.
Special Requirements : Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's license.

Employment with the County of Del Norte requires the affirmation of a loyalty oath to this effect. Employees are required to complete all Disaster Service Work related training as assigned, and to return to work as ordered in the event of an emergency.

ELIGIBILITY :
Regular Permanent Full-Time Employees : Eligible for a comprehensive range of benefits

Paid annual leave : Vacation :
1-5 years of continuous service : 15 working days per year; 6-10 years of continuous service : 20 working days per year; 11-15 years of continuous service : 25 working days per year; 16 years or higher of continuous service : 30 working days per year. Note - Newly hired employees shall be entitled to use their accrued vacation leave subject to totally accrued hours available.
Sick Leave :
1 day of sick leave with pay for each month of service from the date of employment. Note - Sick leave may be used upon accrual.
Holidays :
13 working days each year.
Floating Holidays :
3 working days each fiscal year. Note - Floating Holidays may be used upon accrual.
