NAB Show is produced annually by the National Association of Broadcasters at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. NAB is the premier advocacy association for America’s broadcasters. NAB advances radio and television interests in legislative, regulatory and public affairs. Through advocacy, education and innovation, NAB enables broadcasters to best serve their communities, strengthen their businesses and seize new opportunities in the digital age.

Summary

The Director, Member Content and Programming is responsible for developing, facilitating and managing educational, promotional and issue driven content creation and helping facilitate select events alongside the Industry Affairs staff. This position represents NAB’s educational and membership content at NAB events and other appropriate venues.

Essential Functions

• Create, develop and implement conference content programming and education, podcasts, online education and other member-focused educational content. This includes NAB Show and NAB Show New York.
• Partner with the Industry Affairs department leadership in formulating ongoing strategic educational content creation goals and objectives.
• Coordinate executive production for online member benefit offerings such as the NAB Podcast, virtual learning events and other content initiatives as they are developed.
• Serve as main point of contact for video production division on educational content to ensure all projects are completed in a timely, professional fashion.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to create educational content for NAB conferences.
• Work with other departments to promote NAB member content to local, regional, national and international constituencies through NAB staff appearances at relevant conferences and events.
• Assist with committee meetings of industry leaders to support Industry Affairs projects based on committee feedback.
• Other duties as assigned.

Internal / External Relations

Internal Relations : Reports to the Vice President, Member Experience and works close with entire Industry Affairs department.

External Relations : Maintains effective relationships with vendors and consultants, along with people in the media and broadcast marketing industry.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of related experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Education and Experience

• 3 or more years of radio, television or association experience.
• Scriptwriting, voice-over competencies and content production experience.

Work Location and Schedule

This position is eligible for NAB's Hybrid Work Schedule of three days (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday) in the D.C. office each week. This person must have the ability to travel domestically up to 5% of the time.
