Histology Technician Per Diem

The Histology Technician Per Diem will :
Set up tissue processor in predetermined sequence in accordance with established Department procedures.
Prepare molds for tissue samples in accordance with established Department procedures.
Prepare and mount wrinkle- free sections.
Record number of blocks per day as evidenced by daily inspection of log book.
Accurately file slides and blocks in strict numerical order.
Record temperature on tissue processor on a daily basis.
Attend and participate in all mandatory in-service seminars.
Train and instruct Residents and new employees in response to Department needs.
Conform to safety protocols as outlined in the safety and chemical hygiene plans.
Requirements :
We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.
The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
