About The Position

Job Title : Cardiac Sonographer

Profession : Cardiac Sonographer

Specialty : Echocardiography

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 7A-5P

Hours per Shift : 10

Experience : Minimum of 1 year required

License : ME state licensure not required

Certifications : BLS required, ARDMS required, CCI-RCS preferred

Must-Have : Experience with structural heart echocardiograms to include TEE and stress tests

Description : ASAP start needed.

Manager interviews will be conducted.

Facility is a Level II Trauma Center that receives air flights.

It serves two-thirds of the state and is the closest trauma center within a two-hour radius.

Facility is also a certified stroke center.

There are seven imaging rooms that can accommodate echocardiography.

The patient population is adult only, both inpatient and outpatient.

Average number of patients seen per day is 60-70.

Support on the unit includes an Echo Supervisor and 6-9 additional sonographers.

There is physician support from seven cardiologists.

Technology and equipment include an EMR system and Phillips equipment.

Weekend rotation is required and will be discussed during the interview.

Call rotation is typically one night per week, preferred only.

Holiday expectations are considered part of weekend and call rotation.

Approval of time off requires manager approval.

Scrub color is teal.
