This job is also eligible for annual bonus incentive pay.

The Chief Analytics Officer (CAO) oversees analytics, clinical, and company strategy, directly influencing Synergie's vision, goals, and growth. Reporting to the COO, the CAO works closely with the executive leadership team (ELT) and board members, aligning analytics and clinical oversight with broader business objectives. This leadership role encompasses high-level responsibilities, including setting strategic direction, supporting budgeting and financial planning, managing multi-functional teams, and cultivating partnerships to optimize cost, quality, and process effectiveness, while ensuring strong execution to Synergie's goals.
Primary Job Functions
Strategic Leadership and Company Direction . Collaborates with ELT and Board to set and refine the company's strategic vision, aligning analytics initiatives with long-term goals in health care contracting. Establishes key company objectives, identifies growth opportunities, and drives alignment across clinical and analytics operations. Participates actively in executive decision-making and guide strategic planning.
Analytics and Data Strategy . Develops and leads an innovative analytics strategy that supports the company's goals, ensuring data governance, security, and regulatory compliance. Oversees analytics functions to improve predictive modeling, trend analysis, and reporting to guide both clinical outcomes and cost containment. Provides actionable insights to influence company-wide decision-making, from resource allocation to operational efficiencies.
Budgeting and Financial Oversight. Leads budgeting for the analytics and clinical teams, ensuring alignment with company financial goals. Collaborates with finance to allocate resources effectively, prioritize high-impact projects, and evaluate the ROI on analytics initiatives.
Clinical Oversight and Process Management . Oversees clinical operations related to Synergies participant obligations, ensuring quality control, and process efficiency across teams. Works closely with clinical staff and leaders to develop KPIs and monitor their impact.
Vendor and Partnership Management . Supervises in-scope vendor partnerships supporting clinical, analytics and IT, negotiating contracts and ensuring service quality to meet and operational needs.
Collaboration with Leadership and Stakeholders . Serves as the primary point of contact for the board, ELT, and client leaders regarding analytics and clinical insights. Presents data and analytics results to guide business strategies, operational improvements, and client engagement. Cultivates relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and reinforce the company's data-driven culture.
Team Leadership and Development. Fosters a collaborative, high-performance culture across analytics and clinical teams, promoting growth and professional development. Models leadership excellence, driving innovation, ethical practices, and accountability throughout the organization. Champions cross-functional team collaboration and a data-driven approach to healthcare management.
Education, Experience and Certification
Education
Required : Bachelor's degree in analytics, data science, healthcare management, business, or related field
Preferred : Masters / Advanced Degree preferred; e.g. PharmD, MHA, MBA, MS
Experience
Required :
15+ years of experience in analytics, healthcare management, or executive leadership, with a strong background in clinical and claims analysis.
Demonstrated expertise in healthcare contracting, data strategy, budgeting, and financial planning.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices in healthcare data governance.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills, with experience engaging diverse stakeholders and executive leadership.
Experience using data-driven insights to drive mission.
