Reporting directly to the Assistant Vice President and Chief Legal / Labor Counsel, the Chief Diversity Officer oversees and manages the Office of Diversity, Compliance, and Equity Initiatives. The Chief Diversity Officer serves as a Special Advisor to the President and Chief Legal / Labor Counsel and is responsible for implementing the college’s vision for diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging across the College through programs, events, workshops, training, and initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits :
$150,000- $165,000

Qualifications :
This position is in CUNY’s Executive Compensation Plan. All executive positions require a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and eight years’ related experience.
Preferred Qualifications :
Advanced degree and / or experience in a relevant field, prior experience working in a university setting, demonstrated leadership in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion, experience conducting investigations and writing investigative reports in EEO / AA, Title IV and Title VII and knowledge of affirmative action, and EEO regulatory requirements, excellent communication skills, advanced analytical and project management skills, ability to handle sensitive situations with diplomacy, strong organizational and problem-resolution abilities, critical thinking, decision-making, interpersonal skills, prior supervisory experience, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse community.
