FOH Team Member Position Summary :

As part of the FOH Team you will be the face of Hiro dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and creating unforgettable guest experiences. Your comprehensive knowledge of our food menu, wine list, and cocktail offerings will be crucial in guiding guests and enhancing their dining journey. You will skillfully prepare and serve a variety of beverages at the bar and deliver food orders promptly and accurately.

To excel in this role, you must thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, maintaining organization and composure while effectively solving problems. Outstanding FOH Team Members demonstrate superior communication skills, a genuine passion for hospitality, and consistently achieve the highest standards of customer service, ensuring every guest feels valued and satisfied.

Reporting Structure : This position reports directly to the Restaurant Manager or Bar Manager.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with all co-workers and management as well as complete checklists on all trained processes learned.
  • Update knowledge and skills continually by participating in staff training opportunities.
  • Positively influence the guest experience by elevating the dining and bar experience with food and drink pairing options and discussing specials to drive sales through consistent and approachable communication and the highest level of service in accordance to the establishment’s standards.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to patrons at the bar and in the dining area.
  • Deliver food orders to guests in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain communication and advise Management on any allergies or potential red flags encountered to mitigate any forecasted risk.
  • Complete all check out reports at the end of each shift and have it double checked and signed by management.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies as well as all company policies, procedures, standards, and local, state, and federal law as applicable.
  • Accommodate special requests from guests or alternative solutions that better suit business needs or advise management to further assess and provide options.
  • Ensure food and drink orders are accurately input into the POS system.
  • Assist fellow team members when possible to support all table and bar orders.
  • Inform Management of any product or supply needs.
  • Maintain proper loss prevention standards including cash handling and inventory procedures.
  • Clean and stock server and bar stations, polish cutlery, plates, and / or glassware as needed.
  • Possess a strong knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions when asked.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area.

Required Skills / Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2+ years experience in similar capacity (serving and bartending).
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, high volume environment, and maintain a calm demeanor while quickly and effectively solving problems.
  • Must be hospitable, approachable, and passionate about guest service and respectful towards colleagues and guests.
  • Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to take direction, work in a team environment autonomously.
  • Bartending certification preferred.
  • Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects with hands.
  • Must be able to make periodical fast paced movements and move throughout the venue with ease.
  • Must be able to move, pull, carry, or lift at least 50lbs.
  • Must be able to occasionally kneel, bend, crouch, and climb as required.
  • Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting, cleaning, and stooping.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time.
