# Beds 24 Ratios 6 / 1 Required Certifications n / a Common diagnosis / Types of patients chf, diabetes, PNA, CKD, m / s tele Experience or 'Must have' skills great communication and time management, Are RN's required to titrate drips n / a Common titratable & / or set rate drips Tele / Monitor Techs on this unit? Do RN's read strips? tele monitor techs monitor patients but RNs have to be able to read strips Charge Nurse / House Supervisor Charge Nurse and House Supervisors and Nurse Educators available Are there Nurse Aides on this unit / Ratios PCTs are present 12 / 1 RT / Equipment (ie Cpap, Bipap, High Flow) Cpap, Bipap, and high flow patients Shifts & Scheduling 12 hour shifts scheduling is by manager, cannot guarantee block scheduling Weekend Requirement every other weekend required Holiday Requirement holidays are required Call or Standby Requirement n / a Floating Requirements will float to all med / surg units. Scrub Color / Dress Code Navy blue Unit / Department Specific Orientation Kurth tower is all med / surg tele and department orientation is completed.
