Ramp Supervisor

Pay of $34.94 to $36.39 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Opportunities for overtime, and shift premiums. For eligible leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.

Our Ramp Supervisors lead a team of Ramp Agents to ensure on-time arrivals and departures of aircraft at the stations we serve. The Ramp Supervisor serves as a leader to Ramp Agents by observing and offering guidance, ensuring safety and compliance procedures are followed, and reading and delivering communications to convey important updates. Ramp Supervisors are strong communicators who enjoy working as a part of a team in a dynamic, safe environment.
A role that includes working assigned shifts based on seniority. Shifts can include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Guide and lead team members using SWA (Southwest Airlines) talent management practices to coach, develop, and engage employees.

Knowledge of applicable Collective Bargaining Agreements and their applications.
Knowledge of principles and methods for moving people or goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing Customer and personal services including Customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of Customer satisfaction.
Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
Skilled in understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
Ability to listen to, understand, and communicate ideas presented in writing and / or in speaking with others.
Ability to recognize and address performance and safety concerns in a timely manner.
Fully functioning, broad knowledge of Airline Operations.
