Associate Estimator T&D

About the Role :

The Associate Estimator T&D is responsible for various tasks in developing cost estimates for transmission, distribution and substation work. The Associate Estimator will be a part of our extensive training program to help develop these skills.

Essential Functions

• Prepare / assist in preparing complete cost estimates for assigned projects for transmission, distribution and substation projects
• Understand and monitor program scope of work to ensure estimates are completed prior to deadlines
• Schedule and attend field job walk with customer, subcontractor, and construction personnel to determine constructability requirements
• Perform / assist in performing take-offs / evaluations for estimate preparation
• May solicit material vendor pricing and subcontractor proposals including assembly and distribution of project documentation in to RFQ / RFP packages
• Compare various project documents for accuracy and consistency
• Participate in estimate review process with internal and external stake holders
• Assist construction personnel throughout the project lifecycle in tracking and understanding basis of cost estimate
• May assist in the preparation and submission of change orders
• Participate in job close-out meetings at the end of a project to close any loops in the estimating process
• Regular and predictable attendance
• Other duties as assigned
• Essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field location

Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
