CPH is seeking a talented Project Engineer III in Water / Wastewater to join our Gainesville, FL market. This is a position for a Florida licensed engineer who possesses strong technical expertise in utility space.

A licensed Professional Engineer who not only has the hands-on technical experience and knowledge, but also the understanding and track record of success in delivering projects in alignment with quality standards set forth by the client as well as knowledge of permitting and compliance.
The X factor would be a candidate bringing the strong technical expertise paired with great people skills with a dynamic personality able to easily work with project engineers, junior staff, various disciplines, clients and more. Effective communication is a must and the ability to communicate in an articulate manner with clients regarding proposed solutions is key. The ideal candidate would possess a high sense of business acumen in understanding the key importance of exercising a detailed approach with team alignment and project quality control. A candidate who brings a proven track record of ensuring clients experience minimal risk in final execution of projects with high focus on quality control is highly attractive.

The Project Engineer III – Water / Wastewater leads engineering projects by overseeing all technical and management aspects throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires significant expertise in water, wastewater, and stormwater systems, including design, permitting, compliance, and construction operations. Project Engineer III acts as a technical lead and subject matter expert, collaborating with project teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality infrastructure projects. Strong leadership, advanced engineering skills, and project management experience are critical to success in this role. This position may include leading a satellite office that will support the larger organizations’ strategic goals but also build local relationships to gain market share within the office’s location.
