Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas , is seeking to add an Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join the team at the Baptist Health Heart Failure and Transplant Institute . This is a unique opportunity to be part of the largest hospital system in Arkansas , with twelve hospitals, including the flagship 827-bed facility in Little Rock.

The Baptist Health Heart Failure and Transplant Institute , established in 2010, is Arkansas first and only center focused exclusively on advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support (MCS), and transplant. As the only adult heart-transplant provider in the state, the institute has performed 361 heart transplants to date and is following over 200 post-transplant patients. We have also implanted over 561 patients with a HeartMate device and are following over 200 VAD patients.
The program recently launched the first formal statewide Shock / ECMO program , averaging over 100 ECMO cases annually. There is a 12-bed ECMO unit.
