Objectives :

Perform plumbing duties, as required, to install and repair air, gas, nitrogen, steam, water lines, fire protection etc., including conformance to specification and applicable codes.

Responsibilities :

  • Maintain and install plumbing systems within the facility using copper, iron, plastic, and steel pipe, etc. Respond to written / verbal trouble calls from building tenants.
  • Perform duties as assigned to ensure successful operation of the Facility. Must be motivated to work independently and work well in a team environment. Demonstrate good workmanship, attention to detail is critical.
  • Perform operations to complete assigned jobs per blueprints, sketches or written / verbal orders.
  • Cut and thread pipe, as required.
  • Determine and prepare requisitions for materials and replacement parts.
  • Collect and maintain data and records, as required.
  • Assist Engineering / supervision in obtaining cost estimates.
  • Observe company safety rules and regulations, practice good housekeeping, maintain company quality and performance standards.
  • Report unusual conditions and problems to supervisor, maintain licenses & certificates required for position.
  • Requires the understanding of complicated drawings, schematics and sketches.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3-5 years plumbing trade experience or equivalent AAS degree.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • License from City of Rochester and Backflow certification are a plus.
