About The Position

Must-Have :

Experience in Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Vascular, Robotics, and Trauma is a hard stop requirement.

Description :

Start times can vary from 7 AM, 9 AM, and 11 AM.

12-hour shifts may require coverage for one night shift within the contract as needed.

Types of required cases include outpatient, community hospital, orthopedic, neuro, and vascular.

The facility allows calling off one shift every two weeks.

Weekend work is required, totaling three shifts per schedule.

No national certifications are required, but BLS is mandatory.

One weeknight per week is needed for on-call duties.

Every second or third Saturday or Sunday from 7 AM to 7 AM is also required.

Travelers may float between facilities as needed.

Previous experience in trauma at a Level I facility is required.

Willingness to work two out of the three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) is necessary.

Daily census is approximately 25 patients.

The unit encompasses orthopedic, neurosurgery, vascular, robotics, general, GU, and GYN cases.

Familiarity with case cart and crash cart protocols is essential.

Preferred competencies include experience with the da Vinci surgical system and related equipment.

Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role.

Housing options should be explored by individuals prior to acceptance.

Modules are self-reported and must be completed annually.

Candidates must provide two supervisory references covering one year of employment in a comparable specialty or setting.
