Shift Description

Variable Evening & Night Shifts

1 PM 3 AM OR 8 PM 6 AM (10-hour shifts)

All onsite during 10-hour shift

Minimum of 4 consecutive night stretches

Requirements

BLS & PALS (American Heart Association)

Coverage Details

Oversight of PEDS ER Medicine PA / NPs during shift

Average 150 patients per shift within PEDS ER

Typical staffing : 9 providers (4 Physicians & 5 NP / PA)

Support staff includes Ancillary Teams, X-Ray, Respiratory Therapists, Social Work, Pharmacist

Laceration Repairs

Intubations

Incision & Drainage

Splinting

Ultrasound & FAST Exam

NG Tube

Lumbar Puncture

Chest Tube
