Volunteer Position : CRM & Email Engagement Strategist
Location : Hybrid (Remote with occasional meetings in Orange County)
Commitment : 5-10 hours / week for 3-6 months

About Stand Up for Kids - Orange County :
Stand Up for Kids is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to ending the cycle of youth homelessness. The Orange County chapter has been serving vulnerable and at-risk youth ages 12-24 for over 20 years, providing mentorship, basic needs, education support, and access to housing resources. We empower young people to build brighter futures and ultimately break the cycle of youth homelessness.
Role Overview :
StandUp for Kids - Orange County is seeking a strategic, tech-savvy volunteer to help us organize and engage our community of supporters. We are specifically looking for someone to help us identify and implement a CRM platform for managing prospective donors and partners, and to optimize email engagement through segmentation and drip campaigns for donors, volunteers, and prospects.

Key Responsibilities :
- Prospect CRM Strategy & Implementation
- Evaluate and recommend a simple, cost-effective CRM platform to manage prospective donors, sponsors, and community partners (note : current donors are managed in Bloomerang, and volunteers in GreenRope).
- Assist with setup, configuration, and basic training or documentation for ongoing staff use.
- Create categories / tags to track prospect pipeline, engagement stage, and relationship history.
- Email Segmentation & Drip Campaigns
- Design and build email drip campaigns tailored to three key audiences :
- Prospects : nurture interest, introduce the mission, and invite action.
- Donors (via Bloomerang + MailChimp) : segment by giving level and frequency, create ongoing engagement content.
- Volunteers (via GreenRope) tailor messages by role, activity level, and opportunities.
- Audit existing email lists and recommend segmentation best practices to improve open and click-through rates.
eNews & Communications Strategy
Help define measurable goals for our monthly eNews (open rates, clicks, donations, sign-ups).Recommend a content strategy and cadence that builds trust, drives action, and keeps all audiences engaged.Suggest simple performance reporting to guide future improvements.Ideal Candidate :
Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Airtable, Monday.com, Salesforce NPSP, Kindful, etc.).Familiarity with MailChimp or other email marketing tools.Knowledge of donor lifecycle, volunteer engagement, or sales / prospect nurturing funnels.Strong organizational and communication skills.Detail-oriented, with a passion for youth advocacy and a collaborative spirit.Must complete a half-day training and pass a background check ($18 fee)What You'll Gain :
