Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer serving a residential community, where you will play a key role in monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the location. You will help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible presence and providing outstanding customer service to residents and guests. This position offers the opportunity to utilize your computer skills and access control experience while working in a supportive, people-focused environment that values integrity, teamwork, and innovation.

What You'll Do :

  • Monitor and control access to the residential location, verifying identification and credentials of residents, visitors, and vendors.
  • Provide customer service by greeting residents and guests, addressing inquiries, and assisting with directions or information as needed.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain a secure environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or unusual activity according to Allied Universal and client procedures.
  • Collaborate with residential management and emergency services as needed during emergencies or incidents.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a sense of security among residents and visitors.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
