Store Manager in Training

Overview

Base pay range : $20.00 / hr - $22.00 / hr

This role is part of GNC's Store Manager in Training (SMIT) program, a development-focused path designed to prepare an individual to manage their own store. Under supervision of a Store Manager or District Manager, the program provides hands-on training and assignments to build the skills and knowledge needed to operate a store, drive results, and lead a team.

GNC seeks a dynamic, health-and-wellness–minded individual who embodies our "Live Well" philosophy. The SMIT role is designed to develop leadership and business skills with the goal of promotion to Store Manager. You will work with the team to offer tailored and innovative solutions to customers while supporting store operations and performance goals.

Responsibilities

• Engage with your leader in training initiatives, projects, and goals to support your path to promotion during the program.
• Support the total shopping experience, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and customer relationships (e.g., MYGNC Rewards).
• Achieve and exceed personal sales and productivity goals while helping sales associates realize their potential.
• Build strong teams and demonstrate leadership, including giving feedback, recruiting, hiring, and performance management.
• Open, close, and operate the store with cash handling, inventory counts, and deposits according to GNC procedures.
• Attend community events to promote the organization's mission and initiatives.

Environment & Working Schedule

Promotions & Assessments

Selection for the SMIT position does not guarantee promotion. At the end of 90 days, performance will be assessed to determine eligibility for promotion to Store Manager, considering performance, openings, and willingness to relocate within the designated market.
