Job Description

This role involves working within the food and flavor industry to create and test flavor formulations on a bench scale. The lab technician will develop and compound flavors based on specific recipes and customer requirements, ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and compound flavors based on specific recipes and customer requirements, pipetting no more than a kilo.
• Handle ingredients by weighing and mixing raw materials, including chemicals and essential oils, to create flavor batches.
• Conduct sensory evaluations and stability tests to ensure flavor quality and consistency.
• Maintain detailed records of formulations, processes, and test results.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment used in flavor compounding.
• Collaborate closely with R&D teams to develop new flavors and improve existing ones.

Work Environment

The position is based in a lab environment, primarily working on bench tops. The lab technician will work directly with two R&D technicians. The role may require collaboration with large retailers, enhancing the professional exposure and growth opportunities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Plainsboro Township, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00 / hr.
