As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a talented and driven Quality Assurance Technician, Lead to join our team.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Successful candidate will work independently to perform a wide range of quality inspection tasks.

  • CMM and portable CMM inspections.
  • Create inspection reports from engineering drawings and shop documentation
  • Perform Quality Process Assessments
  • Perform visual, in-process and final dimensional inspections on tightly toleranced piece parts, subassemblies and final assembly.
  • Perform required inspections based on knowledge and experience and / or in accordance with procedures and planning documentation.
  • Perform required inspections using standard measurement instruments.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS :

  • Technical strengths in processing, operations, and inspection. Possess the ability to plan and organize work in order to accomplish assigned tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Interpret drawings and specifications. Strong working knowledge and understanding of GD&T and AMSE Y14.5.
  • Perform certification review on supplier documentation.
  • Be strategic in the identification of technical needs and solutions coupled with a strong program execution focus.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and effective interface with team members, suppliers, customers, and both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Ability to record detailed information accurately, timely and follow instructions.
  • QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma; 8+ years of related work experience.
  • Excellent shop math skills and advanced trigonometry.
  • A strong understanding of standard Mechanical Inspection techniques and tools.
  • Experience with ISO 9000 / AS9100 Quality Management System.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement techniques.
  • Computer skills - MS Office
  • Ability to operate a CMM / portable CMM.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work through an issue to closure
