MetaSense, Inc. is seeking a local contract Medical Lab Technician for a local contract job in Detroit, Michigan.

Minimum Experience :

3 - years of experience

Certifications : BLS , MLT

Technology :

Epic, Sunquest CoPathPlush (LIS)

Hours : 8-5, Monday through Friday (Potential Flex hours 9 : -5 or 9 : 30 - 6 : 00)

Prior experience in clinical labs, handling specimens and comfortable in PPE. A fair amount of testing is prenatal testing. Important : We are looking for a resource with sample receipt and accessioning, and lab bench experience rather than phlebotomy.

Job Summary :

Under direct supervision by laboratory technologist, leader and / or supervisor, and according to defined protocols, performs select procedures on blood and / or other body fluids or specimens, involving manual techniques or the use of laboratory instruments and information systems. May perform phlebotomy as needed.
