Personal Care Aide

Summary

Personal Care Aides (PCAs) provide compassionate hands-on care to ensure residents health and well-being.

Essential functions

• Assist residents with daily living activities (e.g. grooming dressing bathing)
• Monitor and maintain residents personal hygiene and supplies
• Perform regular rounds and respond to residents needs
• Support residents during meals and encourage participation in activities
• Maintain cleanliness of residents living spaces and do laundry
• Assist with mobility including transfers and transportation
• Provide basic health-related assistance (e.g. bowel / bladder management prosthetic devices)
• Communicate effectively with residents and staff
• Maintain accurate records and follow care plans
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications : Experience :

Six months to one-year related experience or training Specific business experience with

older adults or in the retirement housing industry preferred.

Education :

High School Diploma or GED
