Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized services in a K-12 educational setting in Mount Prospect, Illinois. The position involves working with a diverse caseload of 20-30 students, including children with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, emotional disabilities, and those who utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices. The role spans the current school year (CSY) with the possibility to continue into the extended school year (ESY).

Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliver individualized speech and language therapy services to students across K-12 grades.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to student needs, focusing on communication goals.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
  • Maintain documentation and compliance with Illinois state regulations and school policies.
  • Utilize AAC devices and other therapeutic tools effectively in sessions.
  • Manage a caseload of 20-30 students with varying levels of communication and behavioral challenges.

Qualifications :

  • Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license.
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school settings.
  • Familiarity with working with students with autism, intellectual disabilities, and emotional challenges.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work a 37.5-hour week aligned with school hours (7 : 30 AM 3 : 30 PM).
