Required Degree : PhD in Sociology or related field.

The required degree must be completed by the start date.

Experience : The Department of Sociology in the College of Family Home and Social Sciences at Brigham Young University is looking to fill one full-time Continuing Faculty Status-track(BYU equivalent of tenure-track)appointment beginning in the Fall semester of 2026. We invite individuals of all ranks and areas of specializationto apply. Qualifications include a PhD in sociology or a related field a well-defined research agenda and a strong interest in undergraduate and graduate teaching.A visiting faculty appointment may be considered.

Duties / Expectations : Faculty members will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses conduct research and publish in peer-reviewed journals and participate in various forms of service to the department college university and discipline.
