Health System Account Executive

The purpose of this role is to develop and implement account-specific strategies to meet objectives for assigned Health Systems. This role serves as the primary point of contact between Eisai and formulary decision-makers within identified Health Systems representing Eisai's product portfolio. The Health System Account Executive will be responsible for creating access to Eisai's product portfolio in identified Health Systems while building a strong corporate presence with formulary decision-makers and other appropriate stakeholders. The Health System Account Executive will be responsible for managing access and policy for Eisai's products and appropriately communicating status with stakeholders including Market Access Leadership, Field Sales, other Account Executives, Marketing, HEOR and other headquarter personnel. Primary account responsibility is assigned and identified Health Systems. This role is responsible for expertise with negotiating contracts, if applicable, executing brand strategies and tactics at plans, and advocating for access at the local level. Account executives will also be expected to assist at headquarters or in the field in projects that will optimize brand performance in the various payer channels. These projects may be brand specific, payer-specific or channel-specific. Responsibilities include developing and implementing account-specific strategies to meet objectives for assigned national accounts, representing and selling features and benefits of Eisai product portfolio to assigned national account contacts, developing and executing educational programs that assist national account stakeholders with product understanding and patient guidance, working with customer marketing team to align national account business plans with brand plans and effectively implement those plans at national and regional levels, managing access and policy for Eisai's products for national accounts and appropriately communicating status with cross-functional stakeholders, collaborating and assisting sales regions, as needed, with pull-through support and education, negotiating and managing contracts with national accounts. Qualifications include a bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) with 10+ years of commercial experience, prior experience in large account management with health care background, experience in account management, consulting and / or with health care in any specific segment, strong account management and cross-functional leadership experience, experience owning and negotiating contracts and agreements for national accounts, proven track record of providing thought leadership, influencing decisions across all levels of the organization, and driving results through cross-functional teams, experience working with both medical and pharmacy benefits, experience working with various acquisition models including but not limited to white bagging, brown bagging, buy and bill, proven experience in earlier role.
