Job description

American Traveler is seeking an RN with at least 3 years of cardiovascular and stepdown experience for a CV Stepdown unit with advanced cardiac care requirements.

Job Details

  • Position is in a 30-bed Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit within a hospital setting,
  • Care includes POD#1 CABG / AVR / MVR, CV and vascular cases, AAA repair, lobectomy, CEA, acute coronary syndromes, pacemakers, sepsis, GI bleed, post-DKA, respiratory failure, and tracheostomy patients,
  • Advanced skills required including management of HFNC, BiPAP, and stable GTT,
  • Floating required between units within the Critical Care Service Line,
  • Night shift from 18 : 45 to 07 : 15,

Job Requirements

  • Active RN license in hand with primary source verification via Nursys within 30 days prior to start,
  • Minimum of 3 years recent cardiovascular or stepdown experience,
  • Current certifications in BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association required),
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required,
  • Must possess a U.S. Social Security Number and provide a home address within the U.S.,

    • Additional Information

  • Deliver care to complex cardiac and vascular patients recovering from surgery or acute events,
  • Travelers must provide two separate professional references and a copy of driver's license for consideration,
  • COVID-19 vaccine is not required,
  • Local candidates are accepted but compensation may be reduced per facility radius rule, which varies by state,
  • Auto offer process is used for all positions,
