Job Summary
Cleans, decontaminates, inspects, assembles, packages, sterilizes, stores, and distributes supplies, instruments, and equipment dispensed by the department following infection control guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Manages decontamination, sterilization, distribution and storage of supplies, instruments and equipment.

Qualifications
Education
Successfully passed a nationally accredited central service exam and maintains a certified registered central service technician credential administered by the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management or the Certification Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution; OR was employed as a central service technician before January 5, 2021; OR obtains certification as listed above not later than 2 years after the date of hire.Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency.Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties.Experience
Certified central service technician credential as described above.Preferred Experience
Certified central service technician credential.Special Skills
Computer literacy.Excellent written, oral, and verbal communication in standard English.Legible writing and accurate information recording.Training
