Our Malta office plays a central role in ensuring operational and financial compliance within the European market. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a Finance Executive to strengthen our finance team and support daily financial operations, reporting, and compliance requirements.

Position Summary

The Finance Executive will be responsible for managing core accounting functions, ensuring timely reporting, and maintaining compliance with Maltese and EU financial regulations. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work closely with senior management, auditors, and regulatory authorities.

You will contribute to the preparation of management accounts, reconciliations, financial reports, and assist with audits, while ensuring accuracy and adherence to local and international standards.

Please note : This is a full onsite position with a 3 : 00 PM – 12 : 00 AM shift. Candidates must be comfortable working during late-day to midnight hours and commuting to the office.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day accounting entries, reconciliations, and bookkeeping in accordance with Maltese accounting standards.

Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and statutory financial statements.

Manage bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.

Prepare and submit VAT, tax returns, and other regulatory reports in compliance with Maltese and EU requirements.

Support the Finance Manager in cash flow management, budgeting, and financial forecasting.

Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities during audits and financial reviews.

Maintain accurate financial documentation and ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures.

Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing financial accuracy and operational efficiency.

Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.

Experience in VAT and tax filings, along with related compliance documentation.

Solid understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes.

Familiarity with Maltese and EU financial regulations.

Behavioral Competencies

Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication skills (fluency in English required).

Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Demonstrates high integrity and adherence to ethical financial standards.
