About The Position

• Preferred experience with charting systems

Description :

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the preparation and processing of surgical instruments.

This includes decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of equipment.

Knowledge of chemical agents for decontamination is essential.

Experience in cleaning various hospital equipment is required.

The technician must be familiar with proper aseptic techniques.

Responsibilities include organizing and assembling instrument trays.

The technician must ensure proper labeling and selection of wrapping materials.

The role requires knowledge of high-level disinfection procedures.

Experience with automated endoscope reprocessors is necessary.

Familiarity with special equipment used in various surgical specialties, such as orthopedic, cardiac, and urology, is preferred.

Documentation of equipment processing and adherence to sterile protocols is crucial.

The Technician should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Flexibility with scheduling and willingness to cover weekend shifts is expected.
