JOB DESCRIPTION

Watershed Security, is a Veteran Owned Small Business with over 20 years Cybersecurity and Government Contracting experience. Watershed is looking for a Journeyman Technician to support shipboard networks. This position will provide Tier 2 / 3 infrastructure for all aspects of shipboard networks and will lead or be part of teams installing new or upgrading existing systems. This position will work closely with government and civilian management teams for the area to coordinate tasking, ship visits, and priorities.   Work will be onsite in Diego Garcia and will require extensive travel.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have a DoD Secret Clearance
• Must possess current IAT II or higher security certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01M, and be able to get appropriate Computing Environment certification within 6 months of hire
• Must have 5 years or more of progressive IT experience in an enterprise-scale environment
• Must possess SME knowledge or skillset in some or all of the following areas : Windows Server (2008 R2, 2016), Windows 7, Windows 10, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare Server, HBSS, WSUS
• Must be able to travel to Chesapeake, VA for one month at beginning of assignment for hands-on training with shipboard technicians
• Must be able to work overtime as required to meet ship’s schedules
• Must be able to ride ships if needed for critical work efforts
• Must be able to drive a car to destinations as needed
• Position is OCONUS Diego Garcia
• Travel is 50% or greater

PAY RANGE

Final salary is influenced by factors such as location, contract labor categories, experience, skills, education, and certifications. Watershed offers competitive compensation, medical and dental benefits, educational reimbursement, 401K plans with matching, 15 days of PTO to start and 11 paid holidays per year. The proposed salary range for this position is : $80,000 - $95,000 USD.
