Martin South Hospital's Emergency Department has multi-disciplinary care teams and leading-edge technology needed to diagnose and treat patients efficiently and effectively, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As Nurse Manager of the Emergency Department, you will play an essential role in the practice and delivery of patient care. You will supervise all aspects of personnel management and development while maintaining adherence to regulatory standards. Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include staffing, scheduling, budget management, succession planning, and completing regulatory compliance audits. This position requires strong communication skills, compassion, empathy, patience, and a team mindset. You will have excellent opportunities to advance your career while guiding our nursing team in providing quality care. A caregiver in this position works days from 8 : 00AM - 5 : 00PM. A caregiver who excels in this role will :

• Manage the operation and practice of professional nursing and delivery of nursing care on an assigned unit.
• Establish clinical direction of nursing care, provide clinical supervision and maintain quality outcomes and patient care standards.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care.
• Develop quality initiatives and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.
• Supervise caregivers and promote development.
• Maintain adherence to JCAHO and other regulatory standards.
• Develop and monitor budgets, approve purchases and establish / revise inventory quotes.
• Analyze personnel structure and determine staffing needs.
• Evaluate performance, conduct selection and termination processes and develop strategic plans.
• Participate in clinical nursing research and support foundation research activities.
