Quality Control Inspector
Schedule : 6 : 00 AM – 2 : 30 PM, Monday – Friday (Could transition to 2nd shift)
Hours : 40+ hours per week
Job Summary :
We are looking for a dedicated Quality Control Inspector to ensure that our machined parts, workpieces, tools, assemblies, and finished products meet the required specifications. You'll verify and inspect parts to maintain high standards and identify any issues or failures.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform incoming inspections and approve parts.
- Review and approve PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) submissions from suppliers and maintain the PPAP database.
- Audit inspection documentation and procedures to ensure all staff are following guidelines.
- Enter necessary data to maintain accurate records for non-conformance and inspection results.
- Assist with other tasks as needed.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED (preferred).1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.Basic knowledge of algebra, geometry, and shop math (including fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, and trigonometry).Ability to read and interpret technical prints and schematics (ANSI Y14.5 guidelines).Experience with measurements and verifying parts meet specifications.Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with machining tools.Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.Basic computer literacy – comfortable using software for data entry, record-keeping, and documentation.Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift, pull, push, or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.Near vision for close-range detail and the ability to adjust focus.Frequent standing, walking, bending, and twisting throughout the workday.Must be able to stay on feet for up to 100% of the workday.
