ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Anniston, Alabama.

Job Details :

Work night shifts with every other weekend (EOW) schedule

Option for 4x12 hour shifts

Float to like units as needed

Possible charge responsibilities as needed

Must work at least 1 of 3 holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day

Patient ratio of 1 : 6 nurse to patient

30-minute lunch required with no skipped meals policy

Care for adult and geriatric patient populations

30-bed unit with regular medical surgical patients

Skills required : IV starts, isolation precautions, wound care / wound vac, blood product administration, colostomy care, feeding tube management, heparin and insulin administration, PCA, peripheral and PICC line management, surgical drains

Alabama nursing license required

Current BLS via AHA and Fit Test required

NIHSS certification preferred

1 year of nursing experience required

Previous charge experience preferred

Level II trauma experience preferred

Travel experience preferred

Must adhere to call-in policy

Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed

Locals considered within 60-mile radius

The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretaries. The organization maintains strict policies regarding meal breaks and attendance to ensure quality patient care and staff well-being.
