Compliance Assistant
The Compliance Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the organization's compliance program, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and assisting in the detection and prevention of fraudulent activities. This position reports to the Compliance Officer and works closely with various departments to maintain robust compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations, and internal policies.
Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the organization's compliance program, ensuring alignment with BSA and OFAC requirements.
Monitor member transactions and activities for potential suspicious or unusual patterns that may indicate fraud or money laundering.
Conduct initial reviews of alerts and reports related to anti-money laundering (AML), fraud, and sanctions screening.
Help prepare and file required regulatory reports, such as Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs), under BSA guidelines.
Perform OFAC screening against current lists and support the timely identification and resolution of potential matches.
Assist in gathering documentation and conducting investigations related to possible fraudulent activities, escalating matters as appropriate.
Support compliance training initiatives and help maintain up-to-date records of training completion across the organization.
Stay informed about regulatory changes related to BSA, OFAC, and fraud prevention, contributing to policy and procedure updates as needed.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of compliance activities in accordance with company policy and regulatory standards.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth, MI.
Pay and Benefits :
The pay range for this position is $32.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
